The Hackathon will address 37+ challenges; the spectrum is vast-e.g. health&life, business continuity, remote working and education, digital finance, etc. You also have an opportunity to suggest your challenge, which has a connection to fight against COVID-19. Have a look at published challenges. Among them, these challenges are included: Protective equipments, Ventilators/respirators, Protection of medical personnel, Cheap rapid tests- e.g. serological tests development and their fast validation, Lack of skilled caregivers, Research, Efficient team work, Protecting employees and many others. As organizators say- feel empowered to get creative!
The full agenda for the Hackathon is published, and everybody interested in can participate.
The great thing is that the EC with member states (also participating states in H2020) will provide follow up to the best projects coming from the #EUvsVirus Hackathon through the new European Innovation Council (EIC) Covid platform. Foundations, investors, health providers(e.g. hospitals) will also be part of the EIC Covid platform to ensure that the best ideas are turned into real solutions to fight against coronavirus and its consequences.
At this time you do not need to go via the EIC Accelerator Pilot programme (former SME Instrument I and II). Instead, you can directly, if you are quick and your solution competitive, via online racing attract attention, funding, recognition and change future of your institution and might be future of Europe as well!
Do not forget- the registration starts at noon on14.4.2020.
Slovak innovators, now you have an opportunity to show your COVID-19 solution in front of European investors, health providers, foundations, so use it! At the end your product or service can be quickly developed and deployed across the EU Single Market. The first step is to register for racing.
It also seems that innovators do not need to come from companies, so the #EUvsVirus Hackathon is apparently open to all.
